Colorado Must See

Colorado has many must see destination within her state lines. Check out our favorite points of interest as we explore adventures our Colorado villa rentals provide:

Telluride:
Skiers and Snowboarders alike can enjoy the slopes off Telluride Mountain Village. The gondola offers guests a view from the top as they are transported to the ski area, hiking/biking access, local shops and restaurants. Enjoy the view Mother Nature has to offer from above! Hikers will enjoy the Bear creek Falls trail. The well-marked trail takes hikers through wooded scenery, beautiful natural waterfalls and offers one of the most breathtaking views of the town of Telluride. Bridal Veil Falls is another spectacular hike visiting a natural 365-foot waterfall. Bridal Veil is hikeable, accessible via four-wheel drive, bike, and ice climb. Telluride has many historic sites including the Telluride Historical Museum housed in a former hospital and recounting the town’s history from gold mine to ski Mecca.

Steamboat Springs:
Steamboat Springs began as a destination for physical, spiritual, and hunting destination for Ute and Arapaho tribes and later transformed itself into a ski destination in the 1960s. Guests of the area can enjoy everything from the Steamboat Ski Resort to the Yampa River Botanic Park. Outdoorsmen will enjoy hiking the Fish Creek Falls trail, Routt National Forest, Yampa River Core Trail (near the Botanical Garden), Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area and Strawberry Park Hot Springs.

Colorado Activities

Our Colorado vacation rentals offer something for everyone! There is most definitely the adrenaline packed ski/snowboard vacation; however, don’t overlook the entire outdoor picture Colorado has to offer. Colorado has an overwhelming number of national parks and forests open year round. Historic rock formations, fossils, Puebloan villages, rock climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding, white water rafting, and historic trails for biking or hiking can all be found steps away from some of the most famous destinations in the state. Enjoy the heavenly mountain views of snowcapped mountains by the fire as you relax from a long day on the slopes. Our Colorado villa rentals offer spaces for small groups to large entourages and can provide anything our guests’ desire from ski shuttle to spa services.

Colorado Golf

Traveling in the warmer months allow our golfer friends to pack their bags and head to Yampa Valley Golf Course (Steamboat Springs) or Telluride Ski & Golf Club. Yampa Valley Golf Course is an 18-hole course over 240 acres of cottonwoods, wetlands, native grasses and sage. Golf Digest gives this course 3 stars. Telluride Ski & Golf Club was one of the first courses to earn the prestigious Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary certification and meets strict biodiversity conservations, habitat protection, water quality management, and reduced chemical uses. Golf Advisor rates this 18-hole course with 4.5 stars.

When to Go

The best time to visit a Colorado villa rental depends on your goals and expectations. November, December, January, February, and March are prime months for ski and snowboard destinations. June and July are fantastic months to watch wildlife awaken and thrive. This is also the perfect time for biking and white water rafting. While July and August tend to bring quick afternoon thunderstorms, this is also the best time to take in the high plains and prairies. Alpine pastures are alive with wildflowers and punctuate the picturesque views. September and October are fantastic for foodies searching for local farmers’ markets and outdoor festivals. Hikers will find mild days and plenty of sunshine in Autumn months.
