Luxury Villas on the Big Island
Kohala coast and volcanic country
Big Island, The Villa Luxe Way
Here, the scale of the landscape shapes the itinerary.
The Island of Hawaii is the Hawaiian archipelago's largest island, with marked contrasts between the dry leeward coast, greener windward country and high volcanic interior. The Villa Luxe collection includes stays in the Villages at Mauna Lani on the Kohala Coast. A villa stay can balance slow coastal days with carefully planned drives to historic sites, upland communities and protected volcanic landscapes. Because distances are substantial, the most satisfying plans leave room rather than trying to circle the island in a day.
